🔧 How to Use Your Coloured Water Soluble Transfer
Prepare Your Clay:
Condition your polymer clay thoroughly, then roll it out onto a ceramic tile for a smooth working surface. For best results, use white or light-coloured clay to ensure a vibrant, crisp image transfer.
Apply the Transfer:
Place the transfer sheet image-side down on the clay slab. Use your fingers or a roller to gently smooth out any air bubbles.
Wait 15 Minutes:
Let the transfer sit on the clay for 15 minutes to allow the design to adhere properly.
Dissolve the Backing:
Place the entire clay slab under gently running water. The transfer paper will begin to dissolve. Carefully rub away any remaining paper using your fingers. Don’t worry about leftover “fluff” – this can be removed after baking.
Dry and Cut:
Pat dry with a paper towel or let air dry completely. Once dry, use your favourite cutters to shape your clay.
Bake as Usual:
Bake according to your polymer clay’s instructions. For best results, we recommend tenting your pieces during baking to preserve colour vibrancy and avoid discolouration.
Post-Bake Clean-Up:
After baking and cooling, gently remove any remaining transfer paper fluff under cool, running water using light pressure with your fingers.
